What We Publish

We welcome poetry, visual art, flash fiction, short stories, nonfiction, and hybrid work. We are drawn to work that is formally attentive, emotionally precise, and unafraid of complexity.

Poetry
  • Limit: Up to 3 poems
  • Format: PDF or Word document
Visual Art
  • Limit: Up to 3 pieces
  • Mixed media: Encouraged
Flash Fiction
  • Word count: 100 to 1,000 words
Short Stories
  • Word count: 1,000 to 3,000 words

Rights

Trigger Warning Magazine acquires first publication rights. All rights revert to the author upon publication.

The magazine publishes annually and nominates selected work for the Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net.
